וְר֣וּחַ לָבְשָׁ֗ה אֶת־עֲמָשַׂי֮ רֹ֣אשׁ השלושים [הַשָּׁלִישִׁים֒] לְךָ֤ דָוִיד֙ וְעִמְּךָ֣ בֶן־יִשַׁ֔י שָׁל֨וֹם ׀ שָׁל֜וֹם לְךָ֗ וְשָׁלוֹם֙ לְעֹ֣זְרֶ֔ךָ כִּ֥י עֲזָרְךָ֖ אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וַיְקַבְּלֵ֣ם דָּוִ֔יד וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖ם בְּרָאשֵׁ֥י הַגְּדֽוּד׃ (פ)
Dann bekleidete der Geist Amasai, der Oberhaupt der Hauptleute war: Dein sind wir, David, und auf deiner Seite, du Sohn Isais; Friede, Friede sei mit dir, und Friede sei mit deinen Helfern. Denn dein Gott hilft dir. Dann empfing David sie und machte sie zu Kapitänen der Band.
